The Batesburg-Leesville High School JROTC Color Guard participated in the Fallen Soldier Ceremony and Luncheon at the Palmetto Club in Columbia on April 22nd.  The Fallen Soldiers Ceremony and Luncheon is an annual event that recognizes and honors real South Carolina heroes who have given the ultimate sacrifice of their lives to ensure our freedom.  The ceremony and luncheon also recognizes and honors our heroes’ families who endure the extreme sorrow of loss and deserve our ultimate and endless respect. The event was hosted by Senator Katrina Shealy and was attended by Governor Henry McMaster and First Lady Peggy McMaster.
