District Three Staff Members Win Awards

On Monday, June 10th, administrators and staff members from Lexington County School District Three gathered for a special in-service program and end-of-the-year reflection meeting.  During their time together, Superintendent Dr. Randall Gary presented several awards based upon the core values of his “Framework for Successful School Leadership” matrix. Congratulations to the following award recipients:


  • World Class Visionary Award - Angie Rye, Chief Academic Officer

  • Leadership Award - Angie Mishoe, Assistant Principal at B-L Elementary School

  • Leadership Award - Steven Jones, Director of Technology

  • Rock Solid Manager Award - Jamie Gartman, Director of Transportation

  • Management Award - Patricia Tiffner, CNA Instructor at the Lifelong Learning Center

  • Management Award - Mackenzie Taylor, Director of Public Information and Community Relations

  • Culture Award - Jessica Frye, Administrative Assistant at the District Office

  • Culture Award - Sonya Bryant, Principal at B-L High School

  • Culture Award - Donna Padgett, Afterschool Program Coordinator at B-L Primary and B-L Elementary Schools

  • Culture Award - Ralph Schmidt, Assistant Superintendent

  • Culture Award - Angie Rye, Chief Academic Officer

  • Extra Mile Award - Michelle Kaigler, Mental Health Counselor at B-L High School

  • Extra Mile Award - Debra Miller, B-L High School Resource Officer

  • Unsung Hero Award - Charles Holloway, B-L Middle School Resource Officer

  • Communications Award - Mackenzie Taylor, Director of Public Information and Community Relations

 

In addition, staff members surprised Superintendent Dr. Randall Gary with a Heart of the Panther Award for the renaissance leadership he exemplified during his tenure with Lexington Three. Dr. Gary is the only employee of Lexington Three to have ever received this prestigious award, which is annually given to a graduating student at B-L High School who possesses the character traits of loyalty, honesty, and courage. Dr. Gary will be leaving his role in Lexington Three at the end of June to go and serve as the new Superintendent of Spartanburg District Five.  Dr. Stephen Hefner will serve as the Interim Superintendent of Lexington County School District Three for the 2019-2020 school year or until the Board of Trustees appoints a new Superintendent.
