Lexington Three Students Celebrate Read Across America Week

Students in Lexington County School District Three are celebrating literacy and fostering their love of reading with special dress-up days as part of their school's Read Across America Week celebrations, which run from March 1st through 5th.

The fun week is centered around the National Education Association’s (NEA) Read Across America Day, which takes place annually on March 2nd. Read Across America Day is the nation’s largest celebration of reading, with around 45 million people, both young and old, picking up a book to read.

The school dress-up days range from "Twin Day" and "Favorite Sports Team Shirt Day" to "Favorite Book Character Day" and "PJ Day."
