Applications Now Being Accepted for New BOOST Session That Begins in May

For the first time ever, Lexington County School District Three is offering an early summer BOOST session beginning in May and running through July. BOOST, which stands for Beginning Opportunities Offered for Student Transition, is a unique Lexington Three program that’s designed to engage families with 2- and 3-year-olds in a Montessori learning environment. Using Montessori materials, children participating in BOOST develop focus and concentration, improve motor skills and expand their cognitive development.

Parents, who attend the classes alongside their child, are able to develop new knowledge of the Montessori program (which is offered as a program choice at B-L Primary School for children in grades K4 through second), learn about early brain development and are introduced to the importance of language and literacy. Ultimately, the goal of the program is to provide families with a positive school experience and kick-start children’s preparations for kindergarten.

For the session that begins in May of 2021, there will only be an evening schedule offered. All classes are held at Batesburg-Leesville Primary School.
