On Tuesday, December 13, 2022, the Lexington County School District Three Board of Trustees gave unanimous approval to the official calendar for the 2023-2024 school year. 

Please note that the 2023-2024 calendar differs slightly from the "traditional" calendar that has typically been in place in Lexington School District Three. Under the newly-approved "modified" calendar, students and staff members will begin school a few weeks earlier than normal. However, additional breaks have been built into the school year including a Fall Break and two Enrichment Session weeks.

The intent of the Enrichment Session weeks is to allow students the option of participating in opportunities that would advance their academic studies. This could include field trips, career and technology opportunities, and other extensions of learning such as academic support. Enrichment Session weeks are completely voluntary for students, but participation is encouraged. Bus transportation will be provided for students who need it during Enrichment Session weeks.

Please note that these breaks are in addition to the regular breaks that are scheduled throughout the school year including Thanksgiving Break, Winter Break, Spring Break, and various state and federal holidays.
