Jennifer Richardson Named New Assistant Administrator of Batesburg-Leesville Primary School

Lexington County School District Three announces Jennifer Richardson as the new Assistant Administrator of Batesburg-Leesville Primary School. Mrs. Richardson is replacing Maggee Ellis who is moving to Batesburg-Leesville High School to serve as the school’s Assistant Principal for Instruction for the 2023-2024 school year. As Assistant Administrator of Batesburg-Leesville Primary School, Mrs. Richardson’s responsibilities will include supporting positive student behaviors and a positive school culture. She will also aid teachers in the classroom by ensuring they have the instructional tools and resources needed to maximize student growth. 

Mrs. Richardson has been employed with Batesburg-Leesville Primary School since 2014 when she started working as a classroom teacher. She was named as the school’s Teacher of the Year during the 2021-2022 school year. In 2021, Mrs. Richardson transitioned to the role of Literacy Coach for BLPS. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education from Newberry College and is currently seeking her Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from the American College of Education. Mrs. Richardson is certified in Lower and Upper Level Montessori Instruction and has a Read to Succeed Literacy Endorsement from the SC Department of Education.

Mrs. Richardson is married to Ryan and has three children--Sha’Dasia (21 years old), Rashad (19 years old) and Aubrey (17 years old). In her spare time, she enjoys attending football, baseball and softball games as well as cheer competitions in support of her children. She also likes to cook, craft, decorate and spend time with family and close friends.
