On Wednesday, October 13th, two Lexington County School District Three teachers were surprised in their classrooms by Janice Ayers from Mid-Carolina Electric Cooperative who notified them that they were a winner of one of MCEC's Bright Ideas grants.

Congratulations to Heather Studer from B-L Middle School and Alex Richardson from B-L High School! Each of them received $1,000 courtesy of MCEC that will be used for supplies in their classrooms.

MCEC's Bright Ideas program is open to educators in kindergarten through 12th grades in Lexington County School Districts One, Two, Three and Five, and in the Saluda County School District. Each October, MCEC awards approximately $16,000 in grants to the winning teachers to help supplement school resources for their creative classroom projects.

Congratulations Mrs. Studer and Mr. Richardson!
