Our athletic facilities and fields are beautiful in the sun and snow! Check out these great images captured by Athletic Director Eric Gambrell last week when Batesburg-Leesville turned into a winter wonderland. ❄️⛄️

B-L Primary School welcomed a group of educators today for a SC Department of Education Inquiry Lab. Inquiry Labs are in-person visiting opportunities for educators to see personalized, competency-based learning practices firsthand and dive deep into a particular focus area. At BLPS today they're learning about flexible grouping and culture. A special thanks to some of our second grade Panther Ambassadors who served on student panels today and showed our guests around their school!

It’s Unified Spirit Week at B-L Middle School and we’re having a blast with the themed dress-up days leading up to the Polar Plunge for Special Olympics on Saturday, February 8th. (Yesterday was Team Wear Day! Check out the photos to see the themes for the rest of the week.) So far, B-L Middle School has raised an impressive $3,260 for the Special Olympics. As part of the fundraising efforts, a fun competition is underway among the school administrators: Principal Sharah Clark, Assistant Principal Jacob Prahst, and Assistant Administrator Brantley Buzhardt. The administrator who raises the least amount of money will spend an entire day on the roof of BLMS! Currently, Mrs. Buzhardt is in the lead, but there’s still time for the others to catch up before the competition ends on Friday. Stay tuned for the final results!

Last Friday, January 24th, marked the 100th day of school in Lexington County School District Three. With the wild week we had—featuring snow, eLearning, and delayed starts—we decided to celebrate today instead! It’s been 100 incredible days of learning, growing, and thriving across all of our schools. Check out the photos below to see some adorable, festive faces from B-L Primary School, including a few students who dressed up to make the day even more special! We'll be updating photos on our Facebook page throughout the day, so check back later to catch even more wonderful smiles!

Our first-ever Heritage Hoops event on Friday, January 17th was a huge success! The event was held in the gorgeous new B-L High School gymnasium and featured Panthers basketball stars of the past including Coach Gary Phillips, Lexington County Councilman Larry Brigham, Jessica Barr-Dennis, Sharon Baston, Laquantis Stewart, Mylaysia Gates, and Chamajd Hyland. Honored guests were given an embroidered B-L basketball to commemorate the event.

Snow has arrived in Batesburg-Leesville and it’s absolutely beautiful! Isn't our District Office a dream?! While our students and staff are safely at home completing their eLearning for the day, we’d love to see how they’ve also been enjoying the snowy fun. Share your pictures on our Facebook page!

It's the BEST day in Lexington County School District Three because we welcomed back our amazing students from Winter Break! From Dollywood adventures and trips to see family to staying up late, sleeping in, and even scoring new toys and tech from Santa, we've enjoyed hearing about how all of our students spent their time off. We're so excited to kick off 2025 together and continue building bright futures for our Panthers! 💜🐾 Let’s make this semester the best one yet.

We look forward to welcoming all of our Panther students back tomorrow (Tuesday, January 7th) for the start of second semester! It's going to be a great spring in Lexington Three!

The B-L Primary School K4 Box Parade is one of our favorite holiday traditions! Look at all of these smiling faces from today's annual event. We love our students' creativity! Visit Facebook for more pics.

The B-L Middle School Color Run was a huge success last Friday, December 13th. To say our staff and students had a great time is an understatement! A special thanks to everyone who volunteered and made the event possible.

Students from B-L High School traveled to the coast on Tuesday, December 17th to perform at the Carolina Opry. The group, comprised of students from the BLHS chorus and BLHS musical theatre department, sang beautiful Christmas music for the pre-show entertainment.

Wow! What a great weekend at the historic Haynes Auditorium in Leesville as our Panther Players put on several outstanding performances of the play "Southern Fried Funeral." There was such a big demand for the show that additional performance dates are planned for January! Showtimes will be as follows: Saturday, January 18th at 2 pm and 6 pm **and** Sunday, January 19th at 3 pm. Tickets will be sold at the box office on the show days.

Our AVID students at B-L High School recently traveled over to B-L Primary School to read with some of our second grade students. This is an annual event that unites our oldest Panthers with some of our youngest Panthers! Students enjoyed good books, hot chocolate and cookies together. What a great holiday tradition!

The Lexington Three District Office is looking especially beautiful this holiday season. Be sure to drive by in the evening hours to see it all aglow!

OPERATIONS EMPLOYEES OF THE MONTH
We are proud to recognize two dedicated Lexington Three employees as our Operations Employees of the Month for November and December!
First, we have Mr. Phillip Rodgers. Mr. Rodgers is a bus driver who joined the Lexington Three transportation team back in 2012. Mr. Rodgers is a very dependable and hard-working individual who's always willing to step in and assist whenever and wherever he's needed. He adjusts easily to change and his favorite words are "give me a route description and I'll take care of it." It's a pleasure to have him on our transportation team!
Next we have Ms. Thelma Anderson. Ms. Anderson is a member of the B-L Elementary School child nutrition team. Ms. Anderson is a dedicated and hard-working employee who brings a positive attitude to the kitchen at BLES. She is always willing to help out others in any way that she can and she does an exceptional job each and every day serving the staff and students of BLES.
Congratulations to these awesome Lex3 employees!

Congratulations to our Lexington Three Board of Trustees members—Sonya Cary, Craig Caughman, Stacey Derrick, and Cynthia Etheredge—who were sworn in during last night’s regular monthly meeting. We extend a heartfelt thanks to Representative Cal Forrest for administering the oath of office.
